Duncan Coutts

I am a research student in the Programming Tools Group. My supervisor is Dr Oege de Moor.

My current research interests is in improving the tradeoff between program modularity and execution speed using program generation techniques, in particular using partial evaluation. The target language is the functional language Haskell.

I am also a teaching assistant for the department which means that I help out with practicals for various undergraduate and MSc computer science courses. I am on call 11am-5pm every weekday during term time to help students who are working on their practicals outside of their normal timetabled practical sessions.
