Programming Tools students scoop exam prizes
Students working with the programming tools group have scooped the exam prizes for top CS student, top Maths+CS student, and the project prize.
Chris Allan, Somerville College, has won a prize for the best project in computer science at Oxford. The title of his project is Adding trace matching with free variables to AspectJ. A paper about this work will be presented later this year at the OOPSLA 2005 conference in San Diego.
Pavel Avgustinov, Magdalen College, has won a prize for the best overall performance in the joint degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Pavel is now joining the Programming Tools Group as a research student from October 2005, working on the abc project.
Julian Tibble, Worcester College, has won a prize for the best overall performance in computer science. Julian is also joining the Programming Tools Group as a research student this year, working on the abc project.
